Future Machine is a witness.

Future Machine will appear
in Christ Church Gardens in Nottingham when the trees blossom,
at the Windermere-Leven waters in Cumbria when summer ends,
in Rotherfield Peppard in Oxfordshire at the spring equinox,
in Cannington in Somerset to celebrate the abundant green leaves on the trees,
and Finsbury Park in London when the autumn leaves start to fall.

Future Machine is due to appear every year at the same times and places, however possible, until 2050. Newly formed rituals or special occasions emerge from its appearance.

Future Machine collects messages for the future from the people who gather around it.

Future Machine prints out a story for people to take away with them, ‘a future quest’ to help people think about the future.

Future Machine plays the messages left by people in the past
and sounds that change depending on the weather.
